The International Day of Peace
sometimes unofficially known as World Peace Day, is a United Nations-sanctioned holiday observed annually on 21 September. It is dedicated to world peace, and specifically the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access. The day was first celebrated in 1981, and is kept by many nations, political groups, military groups, and people. In 2013 the day was dedicated by the Secretary-General of the United Nations to peace education, the key preventive means to reduce war sustainably.

Global Dignity Day

is an independent, non-political organization that is working towards dignity for all people by creating a global conversation about dignity, and promoting dignity-based leadership to discuss the issue of dignity with young people. An annual Dignity Day on October 20 was arranged for the first time in 2008, where school classes are invited to discuss what dignity means to them and their relationship with other people. By 2011 schools in more than 40 countries had participated in the project.

While Dignity Day falls on a single day, the hope is that the day is a catalyst for teaching dignity throughout the year. Global Dignity has made this easy by providing a collection of resources which can be used on Dignity Day and over the course of the year.

World Teachers' Day
also known as International Teachers Day, is an international day held annually on October 5. Established in 1994, it commemorates the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which is a standard-setting instrument that addresses the status and situations of teachers around the world. This recommendation outlines standards relating to education personnel policy, recruitment, and initial training as well as the continuing education of teachers, their employment, and working conditions.[2] World Teachers' Day aims to focus on "appreciating, assessing and improving the educators of the world" and to provide an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching.

E-Safety

online safety or cyber safety or E-Safety is trying to be safe on the internet and is the knowledge of maximizing the user's personal safety and security risks to private information and property associated with using the internet, and the self-protection from computer crime.

Schools must educate their staff and pupils to develop skills to help them evaluate online material in a critical way to ensure that they keep themselves from harm. School staff must also be educated on e-safety, through professional development sessions, to protect the pupils, themselves and a school as a whole.

We must stay safe from the following:

Phishing

Phishing is a type of scam where the scammers disguise as a trustworthy source in attempt to obtain private information such as passwords, and credit card information, etc. through the internet. These fake websites are often designed to look identical to their legitimate counterparts to avoid suspicion from the user.

Malware
Malware, particularly spyware, is malicious software disguised as software designed to collect and transmit private information, such as password, without the user's consent or knowledge. They are often distributed through e-mail, software and files from unofficial locations. Malware is one of the most prevalent security concerns as often it is impossible to determine whether a file is infected, despite the source of the file.

Internet scams
Internet scams are schemes that deceive the user in various ways in attempt to take advantage of them. Internet scams often aim to cheat the victim of personal property directly rather than personal information through false promises, confidence tricks and more.
